Job Description:
The Sr. Analyst of M&A Strategy will play a key role in
supporting the shaping of our strategic growth initiatives that
drive our mergers and acquisitions strategy. This role will be
instrumental in evaluating opportunities, setting priorities and
coordinating efforts that align with our corporate & business
strategy. This position will be based at our corporate global
headquarters in Westerville, Ohio. This role will report to the
Director of Corporate Development & Market Intelligence.This
position is located onsite in Westerville, Ohio at our Global
Headquarters.RESPONSIBILITIESM&A Strategy and Priorities:
- Assist in developing and implementing M&A strategies
aligned with Vertiv's corporate objectives.
- Identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities,
assessing strategic fit, financial viability, and potential
synergies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and
pursue M&A initiatives.Opportunity Evaluation
- Conduct detailed analysis to evaluate strategic fit, portfolio
alignment, and market attractiveness.
- Partner with business leaders to outline value creation
opportunities including cost synergies, revenue synergies, and time
to market acceleration.
- Present findings and recommendations to internal
teams.Coordination and Project Management
- Assist in managing strategic projects and early-stage M&A
engagements, ensuring effective communication, organization, and
collaboration.
- Coordinate early-stage evaluation and preliminary due diligence
activities.
- Develop and maintain project timelines and M&A pipeline
dashboards.Market Intelligence and Analysis:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends,
opportunities, and challenges in the data center and critical
infrastructure industries.
- Develop and maintain market intelligence reports, providing
insights to support strategic business decisions.Key Capabilities:
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, identifying
opportunities and risks, and developing recommendations to drive
business growth.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data,
identify key trends, and draw actionable conclusions.
- Project & Change Management: Strong project management skills
with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive for
results in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal
communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to
executive audiences.
- Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work effectively across
functions and levels, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Financial & Market Modeling Expertise: Proficiency in creating
and maintaining financial & market models, including valuation
analysis, and market projections.QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree: In a field such as economics, business
administration, statistics, computer science, or a closely related
field.
- Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in management
consulting, corporate strategy, M&A integration, corporate
development, investment banking / advisory services.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google
Suite, Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, and other relevant software
tools.Preferred Skills:
- Advanced Degrees: master's degree in a related field or an
MBA.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the data center and
critical infrastructure industrial manufacturing sector.PHYSICAL &
