Job Title: Data Governance Analyst - Records and Information
Retention Management
Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data
Governance Analyst to join our team, with a focus on building
processes to enable compliance in records and information retention
management. The successful candidate will be responsible for
developing, implementing, and managing data governance frameworks
and retention policies to ensure compliance with legal and
regulatory requirements, and to support effective data management
across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Development: Create and enforce comprehensive records and
information retention policies and procedures to ensure compliance
with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
Process Building: Design and implement robust processes for records
and information retention management to ensure compliance and
operational efficiency.
Governance Frameworks: Develop and maintain data governance
frameworks to ensure consistent and effective management of records
and information throughout their lifecycle.
Compliance Monitoring: Conduct regular audits and assessments to
ensure records and information are managed in accordance with
established policies and regulations.
Training and Support: Educate staff on records and information
retention policies, governance frameworks, and compliance
processes, providing ongoing support to ensure adherence.
Records Management: Oversee the maintenance, storage, retrieval,
and disposal of records and information, both electronic and
physical, in compliance with retention policies for the CIO
Organization.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to
understand their records management needs and ensure that
governance practices and processes support business objectives.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with
records and information retention, ensuring that management
practices and processes protect the organization from legal and
regulatory risks.
Reporting and Analysis: Work with the centralized CDAO reporting
team to generate reports and analyze data to identify trends,
issues, and opportunities for improvement in records and
information management practices.
Business Requirements: Gather and deliver business requirements for
system integration to ensure that records and information
management systems meet organizational needs and compliance
standards.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration,
Information Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data governance,
records management, or a related field.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in data and
records management software and tools.
Knowledge: Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements
related to records and information retention, and best practices in
data governance and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: Professional certifications in data governance or
records management (e.g., Certified Records Manager (CRM),
Certified Information Professional (CIP)).
Experience: Experience in a similar role within the industry.
Work Environment:
Location: This position is based in our Columbus (Easton), OH
office.
