Medication Aide: You will provide medication administration and
direct resident care to residents daily. The Certified Medication
Aide will strive to promote resident's independence while
supporting their activities of daily living in a time and manner in
which the resident prefers.
Your Responsibilities:
- Administer medications, as prescribed, and under the direction
of a licensed nurse.
- Promptly report to the nurse, a resident's request/need for PRN
medications.
- Promptly report to the nurse any adverse or concerning
reactions to medications.
- Provide exceptional Personal service and daily care to
residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff management and
families.
- Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and
procedures.
- Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of
personal hygiene and grooming.
- Answers call lights in a timely manner and responds accordingly
to the resident's needs.
- Assists in maintaining acceptable nutrition for residents and
documents meal intake, as prescribed.
- Knows proper technique for first aide.
- Completes documentation of medication administration.
- Assists in maintaining a therapeutic environment for the
residents.
- Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the
participation in activities.
- Assists residents to and from activities.
- Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.
- Any other duties as assigned or delegated by the Director of
Care or Designee. Licenses/Certifications/Registrations: Current
valid Medication Aide Certificate authorized by the Ohio Board of
Nursing. CPR Certified. Nurse Aide Certification.
Candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and
physical (completed by our Nurse Practitioner) and background
check.
