ABOUT THE JOB

Responsibilities

* Respond to incoming calls, e-mails, fax, and processing customer orders.
* Assist customers in verifying product needs, identify product availability, process deliveries, returns, and assist in obtaining documentation such as MSDS or COA forms.
* Resolve pricing issues in conjunction with the Sales department.
* Follow up with customers on past due invoices.
* Utilize strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with other internal teams to ensure customer/order objectives are met.
* Provide feedback to manager(s) with reference to trends, possible problem areas and suggestions to improve overall departmental/company goals.
* Handle escalated customer complaints and inquiries as needed.
* Data entry and information gathering from the ERP System as well as other web-based platforms.
* Assist Hawkins Transportation with the daily delivery schedule to ensure customer expectations are met.
* Other duties as assigned

ABOUT YOU

* 1 - 3 years related customer service experience preferred
* Demonstration of active listening and strong problem-solving skills
* Strong verbal and written skills
* Computer knowledge: MS Office experience required.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task under various time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of external and internal customers
* Ability to work independently, knowing when and how to ask questions when work direction may not be immediately available
* Excellent attention to detail and follow through in a consistent manner

Expected Compensation: $22.50/hr + 5% bonus eligibility
