the everyday with usBusiness Development Managers (BDMs) establish
and lead the sales initiatives to increase specification share
within the Atlantic Zone. The Business Development Manager is
responsible for pipeline development, account planning, defining
strategies to grow business volume and penetrating through
expanding existing and new planner customer accounts to achieve
greater market share. The Building Automation Planner Community BDM
also collaborates with the remainder of the Siemens Industry BDMs
from other business units, direct Siemens sales organizations, and
across the Atlantic Zone Partner Channel. Strategic engagement in
project development, presentation skills, and sales processes is
essential.As a Business Development Manager, you will:
- Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities
utilizing Siemens commercial building automation solutions, digital
technologies, and experience base to drive specification share in
all key market segments within the Atlantic Zone.
- Have early involvement with target planners and customers to
influence their specifications and drive the acceptance of our
products and service solutions.
- Successfully collaborate with Atlantic Zone, Siemens Partner,
SI Vertical Market Organization, and Area sales personnel from SI-B
team for Building Automation Systems to drive mutual growth.
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to increase building
automation specification share, targeted project development,
knowledge and engagement across National, Regional, and Key Area
Market planning firms.
- Attend industry trade shows, internal and external learning
sessions, prepare commercial proposals, customer presentations, and
demonstrate wall-to-wall capabilities.
- Support in building technical requirements based on global and
local market needs for development or adaptation of future
products, new technologies, solutions, systems, integration, and
digital technologies.
- Provide guidance to direct and indirect building automation
project sellers on implementation of Smart Buildings within
customer base.
- Possess compelling presentation skills and have the motivation
and creativity to develop dynamic solutions to unique customer
opportunities.
- Train and support SI-B sales channels of Smart Infrastructure
portfolio, capabilities, and value propositions.You will make an
impact with these qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
- 5+ years Experience with responsibilities in sales, business
development, project management, and commercial building automation
systems within a regional territory
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in:
- Commercial building automation systems/equipment and
application within all previously mentioned market segments
- Negotiation, conflict management, and accountability in a
business development related role
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, for
detailed financial analysis and business evaluation
- Ability to travel up to 75%
- Verbal and written communication skills in English
- Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license
with limited violations
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual
and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Electrical or Mechanical
Engineering
- Consistent record or capability for account management,
forecast, sales process management, and successful reach of quota
in a complex sales environment across multiple product linesYou'll

- The pay range for this position is $72,380 - $124,080 per year
and the annual incentive target is 25% of the base. The actual wage
offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate
experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium
