Salary: $125k to $130k annually + bonus and benefits.

ALTA IT Services has a direct-hire opening for an experienced Director of Accounting with a strong background in corporate accounting to lead the accounting function at our client's Columbus-based subsidiary operation. This is an onsite position in Columbus, OH.
The ideal candidate will have 7-15 years of experience in a similar role and will be responsible for overseeing all accounting processes, and internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP. This position will be the lead finance role in the business unit and will work closely with the FP&A manager.
**A key aspect of this will involve creating accounting systems and processes, within NetSuite and other programs, working closely with the company's IT to build these out for workflows, reporting, analysis, etc. The role requires solid knowledge of the full scope of the accounting systems and processes, with experience setting them up and implementing them on a corporate scale.
Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting operations including cost accounting, trial balance maintenance, reconciliation, and compliance.
Oversee and improve cost accounting systems, methods, and procedures to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Supervise a small team of accounting professionals, providing leadership and development.


Qualifications 7-15 years of experience. Experience as a Director of Accounting or Controller, preferably in the distribution industry.
Proven expertise in cost accounting and financial management.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience leading teams and collaborating with cross-functional leadership.


Salary: $125k - 130k annually + bonus and benefits.
